Longer video interview at Sovah Health

Sovah produced 2 versions of my interview with them — a 60-second one and this 4.5 minute version. They did an excellent job of telling our story and featuring the responsiveness and skill of their cardiac care teams. Thankful that we have a medical facility with the expertise, experience, and equipment that Sovah has.

  1. I’m crying watching this. How frightened you must have been, but your love story continues, and thank God for that! Love you both.

    1. Lori, good to hear from you, again! I think the last photo I saw from you on FB you were at the beach — you may be still there! Love to you and your family, Chuck

    1. Thanks, Dianne. Made us smile, too — after we stopped crying! But things are much improved from that day, and I’m making good progress with my recovery. Thanks for your comment. Your cousin, Chuck

  2. Chuck, so happy for you and Debbie. What a wonderful blessing from God to heal you! God blessed you with skilled physicians and care givers and a praying wife. That is a familiar story for Charlotte and I. Somehow, on October 30, 2010 Charlotte got me from Mentone to Atlanta’s Northside hospital in a driving rainstorm. My problem was an electrical one, not a blood flow / plumbing problem. The first few years of recovery were difficult and Charlotte was right there for me every step of the way. I am now on my 5th implanted heart device some 13 years later. God has blessed me beyond measure and I am truly grateful. I was so pleased to see you and Debbie together in the video. Both of you look great. We are praying for y’all and ask that you remember us in your prayers as well. Charlotte has been facing a number of significant health issues over the past two years that require my full time care. God is Faithful! He keeps ALL of His promises! We are Heaven Bound! As Paul said, “to be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord” … Amen and Amen. Love you dear brother. Jim

    1. Jim, so good to hear from you! Yes, God was indeed present with us during this time, and as I continue to recover. I’m glad to hear that your cardiac problems are under control, but so sorry to hear about Charlotte’s difficulties. We think of you and Charlotte and others at Pine Lake often — happy memories and good friends from 40+ years ago! Give our love to Charlotte and we will continue to pray for your both. We love you guys, Chuck
