Any reason you are following the Lectionary’s Gospel, but avoid other readings? They often help to bring the point – even the Psalm! 🙂
Hi, Simonas — I am using the Gospel reading right now (in Luke) for the sermon text, but we also read one of the other readings during worship. I agree with you — the other readings do help focus on the “theme” for the day. Thanks for your comments as always. — Chuck
